Baptism
For infants (0 - 4 years) The Rite of Baptism is usually celebrated at 3 P.M. every second
Sunday of the month in English and at 3 P.M. every fourth Sunday of the month in Spanish in the church.
Parents must present their Baptismal Appointment Card to the Officiating Minister to show
that all requirements have been met.
Parent/s of the child must be registered and contributing member/s of a Catholic parish for
at least 3 months.
Mother, Father, and Godparent/s must attend both the "Pre-Baptismal Classes".
a) A Baptismal Orientation is held at 4:00 P.M. on the Saturday before the First Sunday of
each month in English in Room 203. At the end of the orientation you will be given an
attendance card that will allow you entrance into the Doctrinal Class the next day.
b) Doctrinal Class is held from 4 - 5:30 P.M. every First Sunday of each month in English in
Room 203.

Baptism, Reconciliation, First Eucharist, Confirmation
For Children and Youth (5 - 17 years) In preparation for the sacraments of Baptism,
Reconciliation and Eucharist, the children are required to participate in a formation process for a minimum of 2 years, be they in the catholic School or Faith Formation Program
beginning with the first grade level or later.
The reception of the First Eucharist (1st Communion) will not take place earlier than the
final months of the second grade.
After receiving their First Eucharist, the children are encouraged to continue with their faith
formation in preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation, which requires a minimum of 2
years of formation, and culminates usually at the ninth grade level or later. The candidate
should be enrolled in a Catholic School or in the Faith Formation program of the parish.
For Adults (18 & above) The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a Christian
formation process undertaken by adults who wish to be fully initiated into the Catholic faith.
(The sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist)
- Adult baptized Catholics who wish to complete their process of initiation into the Catholic Church (or lack one of these sacraments: Confirmation and/or Eucharist);
- Adult Christians who were baptized in another Faith and wish to become Catholics;
- Adults of other Faith who wish to become Catholics and receive the sacraments of Initiation.
- Should be 18 years old or above;
- Have received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation;
- Registered member of a Catholic parish for at least 3 months;
- Letter of Recommendation from your pastor;
- If single, should not be living with anyone;
- If married, bring marriage certificate from the Catholic Church.
It is preferred but not required that the Bride or Groom be a registered and contributing
member of the parish.
The couple need to attend one of the monthly Marriage Orientation sessions at least 6
months before the proposed date of the wedding.
When the marriage preparation classes have been completed and all the certificates and
paperwork turned in to the Church Office, the couple must contact the deacon at least 4
months before the proposed date of the wedding for the initial interview with witnesses.
Para-liturgical Celebrations
3-Year Old Presentation
2 Celebration options to choose from:
a) Mass of Thanksgiving;
b) Blessing after a regularly scheduled Mass.
The family should be registered and contributing members of a Catholic parish for at least
3 months before the celebration.
The child needs to have received the sacrament of baptism.
